Vacuum units (VAPYDRO)

A vacuum group is a system made up of ejectors connected in series and/or parallel, designed to generate the suction capacity and vacuum level specified by the customer.

It works with engine fluids, available energy sources and cooling fluids, and can have from 1 to 6 compression stages depending on the suction pressure and temperature of the cooling fluid required.

Depending on requirements, several technologies can be combined, including liquid ring pumps.

Multi-stage vacuum groups with all ejectors
- With mixing condensers: Ideal for the chemical, petrochemical and fertiliser industries.
  Example: three-stage vacuum unit with two intermediate condensers and a final condenser for a fertiliser production plant.
- With tubular condensers: Recommended for processes requiring efficient, continuous cooling.
  Example: two-stage vacuum unit with superimposed condensers for a diesel drying unit in a refinery.
  Example: two-stage vacuum unit with in-line condensers for evacuating a turbine condenser in a power plant.
Multi-stage mixed vacuum units (VAPYDRO)

VAPYDRO is an exclusive technology combining the performance of steam jet ejectors with the reliability of liquid ring pumps.
There are two possible configurations:
- A series: a steam jet ejector + condenser + primary pump.
- B series: two steam jet ejectors + condenser + primary pump.
Operating principle: The gases drawn in are compressed by the ejectors, the motive steam is condensed in the shell-and-tube heat exchanger, then the gases and condensates are discharged by the primary pump into the atmosphere.
