Ejectors
Ejectors are static devices in which the energy provided by the expansion of a pressurised fluid (steam, gas, liquids....) is used to :
- Sucking in, compressing or mixing fluids
- Vacuum or pressurise enclosures
- Transport fluids, powders or sludge
- Transfer heat
Depending on the functions described above, they may be called vacuum ejectors, steam ejectors, gas ejectors, hydroejectors, thermocompressors, eductors, mixers, heaters, desuperheaters, ejector fans, scrubbers, etc.

Details Ejectors
The advantages of our ejectors :
- Custom design and construction : Thanks to our specific and modern design resources, validated by several thousand projects, we can offer ejectors tailored to each particular application, ensuring optimum (and guaranteed) performance at competitive prices.
- High performance : The specific profiles of our ejectors guarantee maximum efficiency at minimum operating cost.
- Exceptional reliability: With no moving parts, there are no breakdowns, no drop in performance and virtually no maintenance costs.
- Wide range of flow rates : Unlimited suction capacity (our biggest achievement: 1,500,000 m3/h).
- Wide pressure range : Our ejectors can be used to evacuate enclosures (down to 10-2 mbar abs.) or as compressors up to several tens of bars.
- Corrosion resistance : You can vacuum any fluid, even corrosive or abrasive ones, thanks to the wide range of construction materials we offer.
- Process gases can be used as a motive fluid: Eliminates pollution.
The manufacture of our ejectors is defined by the needs of our customers:
- Materials : Virtually any material can be used. The most common include Steel, Carbon, Stainless steels (304L, 316L...), Special alloys (Uranus, Monel, Hastelloy...), Graphite, Plastics (PVC, PPH, PVDF, PTFE...)
- Building codes and guidelines : Standard LVI, CODETI, CODAP, ASME VIII, AD-MERKBLATTER, CE standards, TEMA, DESP...
- Connection : On request, flanges (to ISO, DIN or ANSI standards), threaded, tapped or welded connections.
An ejector provides suction without the use of moving parts. It works on the principle of the venturi effect. The ejector is an industrial device used in many applications and is particularly suitable for :
- Suction of contaminated or corrosive gases or liquids,
- compression of charged or corrosive gases or liquids
- the mixing of charged or corrosive gases or liquids
Rapid evacuation of a large-volume enclosure
- Start-up ejectors: Vacuum a 5,100 m3 enclosure at 150 mBar abs in 40 minutes - With a start-up ejector and its exhaust silencer.
Vacuuming a plant
- Multi-stage vacuum groups :
- In combination with condensers: When a high compression ratio is required, it is necessary to provide several ejectors connected in series with intermediate condensers.
- In conjunction with a liquid ring pump: For example, an air ejector to lower the pump's suction pressure and prevent cavitation, or a vapour ejector to achieve lower pressures down to 0.3 mbar abs (see our Vapydro range).
Priming centrifugal pumps
- The ejector mounted on a buffer tank evacuates the pump and its suction pipework.
- The instrumentation mounted on the balloon is used to control the system.
Vacuum sampling
- This device, which uses air or nitrogen as the driving fluid, enables a sample of the product being developed to be taken from a chemical reactor operating in a vacuum.
Transfer / Evacuation
- In the following configuration, the contents of the tank can either be evacuated to a drainage channel or to a tank located at a higher altitude.
Transfer (Siphon)
- The ejector can also be used to create a vacuum in the filling circuit and thus prime a siphon. Vacuum is only produced when the siphon is primed.
Mixing / Transport
- An ejector can be used to dilute a powder in a motor fluid or to transport granules.
Examples of other applications
- Shipbuilding :
- Purges of boat hull bottoms.
- Draining of boat sanitary facilities.
- Energy :
- Vapour ejectors - recovery of air and water vapour at the turbine shaft outlet.
- Ventilation :
- Ejectors with very low compression ratios designed to recover harmful gaseous emissions in industry.
- In general :
- Thanks to their robustness and ease of use, ejectors offer a multitude of potential applications.
