Desuperheaters

Desuperheaters are used when the steam produced is too hot for a given network or industrial process, or when it is necessary to saturate superheated steam to make it usable.
They enable the temperature of the steam to be precisely controlled to ensure safety, performance and compatibility with the process.

Two main types of desuperheater are available:

Desuperheating flue: used when the pressure of the cooling fluid is higher than the process pressure.
Venturi: used when the coolant pressure is lower than the process pressure.

Pipe desuperheating

Injection of pressurised water directly into the pipe to lower the temperature of the steam.

Venturi desuperheating

Creation of a vacuum to saturate the steam via a venturi effect when the water pressure is lower than the steam pressure.

Other applications

For use in industrial steam networks, chemical processes, biofuel production or any system requiring regulated steam.
